UNDERSTANDING INFORMATION SYSTEM BASED ON WEB ACADEMIC

A. Understanding Information Systems

Information system is a system within an organization that reconcile the needs of daily transaction processing, support operations, managerial and strategic activities of an organization and provide certain outside parties with the necessary reports (Jogiyanto, 2005: 18).

B. Academic Information System

Academic information system is a system designed specifically to meet the needs of an educational institution that has been computerized to conduct academic activities in a structured manner so that all processes that should take a lot of time, but can be overcome with a fast time (Roki Aditama, 2012).

Understanding academic information system can be interpreted a system designed for the purposes of management of academic data with the application of computer technology both hardware and software help the entire process of academic activities that can produce useful information in educational institutions.
